A rich cup of coffee from a French Press beats several average cups of coffee...at least in my book.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per cup of water.
Clean, fresh water
Any condiments you prefer, such as cream or sugar
Method:
Bring the water to the boil
Measure coffee into your French Press
Once boiling, remove the water from the heat for about 30 seconds to reduce the temperature a bit.
Pour the water into the French Press. The coffee grounds will float to the top, so do not overfill, or it will spill out once you begin to plunge.
Mix the coffee grounds with the water. They will still float back to the top.
Insert the plunger partway into the carafe
Let steep for 4 minutes.
Plunge slowly. If you plunge too quickly, the pressure might break the carafe.
Pour into your cup, sip and savor
