There is nothing quite like the smell of a warm, spiced dessert wafting through the kitchen on a crisp autumn afternoon, is there?
If you're anything like me, you're always looking for that perfect combination of fall flavors, but maybe with a slightly different twist! Today, I'm sharing a recipe that is near and dear to my heart—a gorgeous strudel that features pears as the star. They lend such a subtle sweetness to the finished dish, making it a perfect treat to share with friends and family!
I made my first strudel when I was still in high school. It was a huge adventure because I made the dough from scratch, stretching it over the dining room table. I can't even remember what it tasted like, because for me it was about making it more than eating it. I will say my Dad loved it and asked for it over and over.
This Pear Apple Strudel is a version of my original strudel, but using store-bought phyllo dough, so you don't have to take all day to make it. This recipe is one of those cozy recipes that just screams "fall," and I think you're going to love it.

Happy Baking!
