What do you do when you move to a new neighborhood? Explore the food scene, of course!

That's exactly what I began doing only a week into my new house. As you know, I love to cook, and I had unpacked my pots and pans first thing. However, all of my creative juices have been used up deciding how to set up rooms, where things should go, and how to maximize my space. By the end of the day, there's not a lot left in the tank to creatively cook.

Luckily, I had made lots of meals and froze them, so there was always something to dig into that felt homemade. This particular night, my nephew and I wanted something different. He was visiting and we were going to cook together, but neither of us was up for it. Enter the beginning of a food adventure.

I'm lucky to live in an area surrounded by some amazing cuisines. I'm overwhelmed with the choices. That night, we were both craving Indian food, so we ventured to Jay's Indian Kitchen.

The menu is vast and includes vegetarian dishes along with chicken, seafood, lamb, and goat. You are not spoiled for choice of curries, tandoori dishes, biryani, and even "Naanwiches" which I will definitely be going back for.

We chose the Methi Chicken made with fenugreek leaves and a creamy, spicy tomato gravy, and Chicken Vindaloo made with chili pepper, potato, vinegar, and spices. We ordered that one extra spicy...and it was. That's what I liked about the menu. You could order the spice level that was right for you.

When I say the food was craveable, I mean you kept wanting more. The complexity of spices had us each guessing what we were tasting. There were plenty of leftovers, so the investigation still continues.

If you are in the North Attleboro area, this is definitely a restaurant to check out.
