Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels

Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels

If there is one thing I’ve learned from years of hosting parties, it’s that people will always—and I mean always—gravitate toward the spicy, tangy pull of Buffalo chicken wings.

Today, I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite "secret weapon" appetizers: Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels.

These are the ultimate crowd-pleasers because they are puff pastry filled with all the flavor of traditional Buffalo chicken wings, but without the mountain of messy bones and sticky fingers.

Whether you’re gearing up for a high-stakes Super Bowl party or just need a quick, handheld snack for a July BBQ, these little swirls of goodness will become a go-to.

Why You’ll Love These Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels

The best part? They are ridiculously easy to throw together. If you’re in a rush, you can whip these up in minutes using a rotisserie chicken and some pantry staples.

Jen’s Pro Tip: If you want to keep things a bit lighter without sacrificing that creamy texture, you can actually use my Greek Yogurt Buffalo Dip as the filling! Just spread a layer of the dip onto the puff pastry, roll ‘em up, bake them, and you’re good to go.

These pinwheels are perfect for prepping ahead of time, leaving you more time to actually enjoy the game (or the sunshine) instead of being stuck in the kitchen.

Enjoy!

Note on the sauce:

You may not use all of the filling. The rest can be used as a dip, sandwich filling, or you can spread it thin and use two puff pastry sheets to make 24.

These are best made the day of your event and then baked as you need them. Alternatively, you could make them and bake them ahead of time and freeze them. Then reheat from frozen.

Unroll the puff pastry. Spread the mixture over the pastry leaving an inch border around the edges. Roll up the pastry from the long end. Cut into 12 pinwheels and place on baking try.
