You've never tasted something so good as my Aunt Sally's Pesto. She's been making this for decades, and on my most recent trip to visit her, she made an amazing batch that I couldn't get enough of.
What is different about Sally's Pesto is that she uses it more as a dip than a pasta sauce. She used to make this for different fairs in the fall and sell it. It is that good. Plus it introduced pesto to people in a different way because she was serving it as a dip.
Her favorite crackers for pesto are Triscuits. I couldn't agree more. They perfectly hold the pesto, and because they are dense, they complement the pesto almost like pasta would. Her newest addition is goat cheese. Oh my, now I need to make some pesto!
