Michigan Cherry Pie

Beginner
Michigan Cherry Pie | Appetite for Life

This Michigan Cherry Pie brings back so many memories of summers spent in Michigan around the Fourth of July. The unique combination of sweet and tart cherries (a specialty of Michigan) makes this pie unique.

Feel free to use a double pie crust that you make from scratch or buy. If you don't want to use a double pie crust, this is equally as good with a streusel top. Here's a recipe:

Mix together the following ingredients and spread liberally over the top of the pie.

  • 3/4 cup oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup softened butter

  • pinch of salt

About Me

Hi!  I'm Jen

Cooking is a passion passed down from both of my grandmothers to my mother and then to my sister and me.

Throughout my career, I was always drawn back to food.  I've learned from experienced chefs, apprenticed with professional bakers, and tasted coffee with international experts.

Today I'm sharing those experiences with you.
