Maple Shortbread

These Maple Shortbread cookies are perfect for a holiday plate or a fall dinner. They celebrate the taste of maple syrup in a buttery and light way.

Slice-and-bake cookies like these are perfect to have on hand. You can make the dough and have it in the refrigerator ready to bake fresh when you need it. You can also freeze the dough in its log form for up to 12 months. Then any time you want a taste of Fall/Winter, you can slice off a few and bake them.

I prefer these without any other additions so I can taste the subtle maple flavor, but feel free to add finely chopped nuts (walnuts and pecans would be my choice). You could also add chopped white chocolate. I wouldn't add chocolate chips because you might lose the maple flavor.

About Me

Hi!  I'm Jen

Cooking is a passion passed down from both of my grandmothers to my mother and then to my sister and me.

Throughout my career, I was always drawn back to food.  I've learned from experienced chefs, apprenticed with professional bakers, and tasted coffee with international experts.

Today I'm sharing those experiences with you.
